Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
RCIA volunteers welcome and bring new members into the Community of the Catholic Church so that they not only know what we believe but are enabled to meet Jesus Christ in the members of the Church.
Role:
To welcome and bring new members into the Community of the Catholic Church so that they not only know what we believe but are enabled to meet Jesus Christ in the members of the Church.

Parish Priest and/or his Delegate
Description of Role:
To share with enquirers -

the Christian vision
-
the Christian mission
-
the Christian values system
-
the Christian identity and
-
the Christian community's spirit
and
-
to show the centrality of the Bible and the Magisterium in the teaching of the Church

to share in the Group prayers from the Liturgy an common daily prayers
Support Provided:
One's own faith and personality with the encouragement of the other members of the Team. Any necessary literature regarding Church's Teaching will be provided.
Time Required:
Whatever time the Volunteer wishes to give - a commitment as a full time member of the team (this may be weekly, fortnightly, monthly meetings) or just to look in when free and able.
Gifts and Talents:
Ability to listen prayerfully to others and respond in discussion in non-judgmental manner A desire to share one's Christian faith with those interested
