The Organist and Choir rehearse on Thursday evenings, and play and sing at the 11.30 Mass on alternate Sundays as well as at special services during the year.

Volunteering Role Descriptor

Role:  
A member of the mixed choir which leads the hymns and the sung parts of the Sunday Mass.

Responsible to:
Mgr Kerr and Charles Napier, Organist.

Description of Role:

The choir performs on alternate Sundays under the direction of the organist.

On occasions such as Christmas and Easter there are extra pieces to be undertaken.

Unison singing is employed throughout with minor exceptions

Support Provided:
Choir practice takes place weekly on Thursday's at 6.00pm during which individual difficulties can be discussed and supported.

Time Required:

Choir attendance on alternate Sundays at the 11.30am Mass.

Weekly choir practice of one hour's duration.

Gifts and Talents:
Ability to sing in tune, but the reading of musical notation is not essential
