Then Simon Peter spoke up:“You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”

From Fr Mike Fallon – Thank you to Fr Kerr & parishioners of St Peter’s for the extremely generous response to the appeal in aid of the Romanian project.
“..this will go a long way towards achieving our plans to bring six young Romanians to Scotland for much-needed intensive training in management and administrative skills. This tailored programme will enable them to develop and extend the care services they provide for the disabled and disadvantaged youngsters formerly housed in the orphanage in the town of Siret. We are busy settling the detailed arrangements but it looks likely that we will be able to undertake this phase of our ongoing project in November. I will certainly let you know how we get on.”
Pilgrimage to Oberammergau
You may know that the famous Passion Play at Oberammergau is only
staged every 10 years, and the next time is 2010. The parishioners
of St Columba's have organised a pilgrimage there, and Father Kerr
has kindly agreed to take part. Just as we invited them to join our
pilgrimage to Inchcolm last year, parishioners of St Peter's are
invited to come with them to Oberammergau.
Of course this trip will
be rather more expensive: a shade over £1,000 including the play
itself, guided tours of the Austrian Tyrol, 8 days half board
accommodation and direct flights from Edinburgh. To secure tickets,
prospective pilgrims will shortly need to hand over a £150 deposit
(which is ATOL bonded and fully refundable until the end of next
March). This is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity: if you are
